Quincy Coleman Project (2008)

The Quincy Coleman Project was launched in honor of Quincy Coleman, an ex-Youth Boxer who was shot and killed in Fall of 2008. The Goal of the Quincy Coleman Project was to provide Boxers with the opportunity to increase awareness of the kinds of stress they typically experience. They used their training to develop ways of dealing with stress in and out of the Ring. All Boxers expressed surprise at how much the Quincy Coleman Project affected them. Though the Drills were not always easy, they emerged from the training stronger in their ability to take on Personal Matches and apply this strength to their boxing. The Coaches involved in the Quincy Coleman Project were glad to have the opportunity to hone their skills, linking Gym to Everyday Life. As for Quincy- Box On! We shall always feel you in the shadows of our lives.
